Luxe Layover (operated by LUXE LAYOVER LLC, DCT Abu Dhabi license 1804059) is a private chauffeur tour service built specifically for transit passengers on long layovers through Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport.
Our Story
Luxe Layover started as a decade of hands-on work, not a website. Since 2010, our team has been running private airport transfers and tours across the UAE — for residents, for visiting families, and for the travel partners who trusted us with their guests. Somewhere in those years we kept seeing the same gap: a transit passenger with a real window of time — four hours, eight hours, a full day — would either get sold a generic city package built for someone staying a week, or be told to simply wait it out in the terminal.
Luxe Layover was built to close that gap on purpose. Every tour we run is designed around one constraint that matters more than any other: your next flight. Not a fixed group schedule. Not a one-size sightseeing loop. Your actual layover, planned backwards from your departure gate, by a team who has been doing exactly this kind of work in this city for years before the brand had a name.
What We Do
We exist for one simple reason: airports are not where a good trip should happen. If your connection gives you a gap of four hours or more, that time can become a private tour of Abu Dhabi — Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Corniche, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan, or the dunes outside the city — and you can be back at your gate in time for your next flight, with margin to spare.
We run private, per-car layover tours built around your actual flight times, not a fixed group schedule. Every booking includes:
- A private vehicle and driver — sedan, SUV, or Land Cruiser — never a shared or group tour
- A route built backwards from your departure gate, with flight tracking so pickup timing adjusts to your actual arrival
- A built-in buffer of at least 3 hours before your next flight’s departure, so airport formalities and unexpected delays don’t put your connection at risk
- Pricing quoted per car, in USD, with all major currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, AED, and more) accepted for payment
Who This Is For
Our guests are almost always transit passengers on a single-day or overnight layover through Abu Dhabi — connecting through Etihad, or any other airline routing through Zayed International Airport — who would rather spend a long gap seeing the city than waiting in a terminal. We also take pre-arranged private tours for visitors already in Abu Dhabi who want the same private-car, flight-friendly approach.
